Donald J. Fann’s life changed after receiving a call that his elderly mother had fallen and remained on the floor of her room without any help for what is believed to be more than 4 hours. The fall broke her hip and she never walked again. This took place in a facility that was entrusted with her care. As a defense attorney, Mr. Fann had encountered similar events while defending his nursing home clients, but this time it was different, it was personal.

Career
Donald J. Fann received his J.D. from the University of Miami in 1987. He was the founding partner of a well-known and nationally recognized personal injury law firm for approximately 11 years. With nearly 30 years of defense experience in both corporate and private practice, he is acutely aware of the oppositions’ strategies and methods, which provides him with the unique ability to prepare for and overcome the many obstacles that stand in the way of justice for his clients.
Mr. Fann is admitted to the Florida Bar as well as the Federal Bar for the U.S. District Courts in the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He has successfully represented clients in both State and Federal Court trials as well as highly complex Arbitrations.
Mr. Fann has maintained the prestigious “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell for more than 10 years, and has been a featured seminar speaker at various medical facilities and national conferences addressing topics of relevance to medical practitioners in nursing home and acute care environments.
Mr. Fann has represented many clients that own, manage, and insure nursing homes and other long term care facilities. He has personally evaluated or been counsel of record for over 700 long term care cases giving him a level of experience that provides an enormous benefit to all of his clients in this specialized area of the law.
Background
Don is a Florida native, born and raised in Miami. He lives in Broward County with his wife, Lorraine, and sons, Kevin and Sean. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
