Career
Amanda honed her trial skills as an Assistant Public Defender at the Miami Dade Public Defender’s Office, where she tried a variety of cases to verdict and successfully argued many substantive motions to suppress. Despite an era where trials have become increasingly infrequent, Amanda has maintained an active trial practice since transitioning to private practice. As one notable example, in 2023, Amanda played a lead role in successfully litigating a First Amendment retaliation claim against a sitting City of Miami Commissioner, which resulted in a $63.5 million judgment for the clients.
At Kelley | Uustal, Amanda focuses her practice on plaintiffs’ civil rights, defamation, and commercial cases and is committed to securing the best possible outcome for her clients.
