Career

Throughout his career, Ricky Armand has taken great pride in being a voice for the voiceless. Prior to joining Kelley | Uustal as a partner, Mr. Armand managed one of the personal injury departments at a legendary law firm. He is a calm yet resilient negotiator and litigator. In his first 8 years, Mr. Armand resolved hundreds of cases that amounted to nearly $20 million in total settlements for his clients. He maximized every case he worked on, which led one of his mentors to give him the nickname “Policy Limits.” Also known as a young rainmaker, he has originated over $4.6 million in settlements.

Mr. Armand has national experience in the areas of automobile and semi-truck accidents, wrongful death, apartment and hotel negligent security, premises liability, funeral home wrongful cremation, and tobacco litigation.

Mr. Armand received his Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School, where he was recognized for both his academic achievements and his commitment to public service.  He received a book award in Trial Practice.  He also served as the Pre-Law Student Division Director of the Northeast Black Law Students Association.  Mr. Armand received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida, where he majored in English and minored in Business Administration.

Background

Mr. Armand’s blue collar work ethic comes from being the eldest son of Haitian immigrants. As a first-generation American, he was born in Connecticut but raised in St. Lucie County, Florida. Mr. Armand speaks fluent Haitian-Creole and believes giving back to his community is one of his callings.

Mr. Armand has a passion for faith, family, and philanthropy. He believes God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. When he isn’t spending time with his family, mentoring, or giving back, Mr. Armand enjoys a good podcast interview involving music, mental health, and money (financial literacy).
