Kelley | Uustal lawyers John Uustal, Cristina Pierson, Matt DellaBetta, and Fan Li secured an $82.6 million verdict for internationally famous rapper, singer and songwriter Flo Rida in a breach of contract case against Celsius Holdings.
Flo Rida sued Celsius Holdings, claiming that the company had violated the conditions of an endorsement deal that ran between 2014 and 2018. Flo Rida was asking the company to honor the deal and issue the stock shares he was promised under that agreement.
Celsius claimed in trial that the sales benchmarks had not been met. The jury sided with Flo Rida and the verdict reflected the number of shares promised in the contract at the price the stock was trading at on the last day of the trial.
