Todd McPharlin Sworn in as the New President of the BCJA

Todd McPharlin of Kelley/Uustal was sworn in as President of the Broward County Justice Association at their annual Judges’ Night celebration on Thursday, December 13th. In addition to honoring the judiciary and paying tribute to retiring judges for their contributions, BCJA installed its 2012-2013 slate of Officers and Directors, among them Eric Rosen, also of Kelley/Uustal.

“I am proud of the work we do as trial lawyers and feel fortunate to make a difference in the lives of the people we help and work within the justice system,” said Mr. McPharlin in remarks at the event. “I look forward to continuing the mission and expanding the direction of BCJA in our responsibility to the community at large.” Mr. McPharlin replaces immediate past-president Linda A. Alley of Sheldon J. Schlesinger, P.A., and thanked her for the leadership she provided in the past year.

The Broward County Justice Association (BCJA) was founded in 1963 to serve members of the legal profession who focus on civil litigation and to work with the Judiciary of Broward County, Florida on a wide range of matters impacting the legal community. BCJA consists of attorneys, judges and affiliated legal professionals from the tri-county area who strive to seek justice for Florida’s consumers with the goals of safety and accountability through access to the court system and the Constitutional right to trial by jury.
