FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – November 17, 2025 – Kelley | Uustal Trial Attorneys announces the hiring of Mike Gordon as a Partner. Gordon brings over twelve years of federal and state prosecution experience, including leadership roles in some of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) most high profile cases.
Most recently, Gordon served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tampa, Florida, where he prosecuted white collar fraud, public corruption, and cybercrime cases. Before that, Gordon served as Senior Trial Counsel in the Capitol Siege Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. Selected through a highly competitive process, Gordon was entrusted to lead some of the highest-profile cases stemming from the largest investigation in DOJ history.
Gordon began his legal career in New York City, where he clerked for federal judges in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He then became a state prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where he was trained in one of the nation’s most rigorous and intense trial programs. Gordon joined the DOJ in January 2017. Gordon initially worked in the Violent Crimes and Narcotics Section in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Tampa taking down violent gangs and drug traffickers. After being handpicked to prosecute January 6 cases, Gordon returned to Tampa two years later and applied his skills to prosecuting fraudsters, corporate criminals, online identity thieves, and corrupt public officials. Shortly before he left DOJ, Gordon indicted a businessman who embezzled over $100 million from special needs victims.
